Welcome to Our School
Ms. Teresa Diamond, Principal
Welcome to La Salle Academy wherein the charisms of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and Sisters of St. Joseph, we touch hearts, change minds so all may be one. The community of La Salle Academy consists of a committed Board of Trustees, dedicated teachers, generous benefactors, loving families, and especially 92 energetic, enthusiastic, third through eighth-graders. On behalf of the LSA community, I invite you to take a few minutes to explore our website with the hope that what you learn will touch your heart, change your mind so that you may become one with us in this awesome experience called La Salle Academy.
Students begin each day reciting the school pledge proclaiming, “I am a smart, special, valuable person created in God’s image”. Through an extended day (8:00-5:00), an extended year (September through July), and small classes (15 students) our students participate in a rigorous academic curriculum, a character development program promoting JUST Relationships, and enriching extended-day activities. Our goal at LSA is to provide the students with academic, spiritual, emotional, moral, and social experiences that will help them grow into confident, life-long learners who are eager to use their gifts in service to others so that they can confidently and happily exclaim, the last line of the school pledge, “I am proud to be me”.
Our students are invited to grow in their relationship with God through learning about the Catholic faith in an environment that is respectful of all faiths. Students are prepared to be college and/or job-ready through our academic program supported with updated textbooks, state-of-the-art technology, and the Lab Learner hands-on science. Our students are taught by a loving, qualified faculty who provide a classroom environment where creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking are encouraged and celebrated. Through developing individual relationships our teachers offer differentiated instruction which enables each student to grow to his/her potential. Our Fine Arts program encourages students to discover and develop talents in music, art, and dance. Extended-day enrichment activities expose our students to life-enhancing opportunities. Our full-time Social Worker works closely with families and teachers to provide a safe, caring, encouraging environment for our students in and out of school.
La Salle Academy's 2020-2021 school theme is We Are One. This theme encourages our students, faculty, and staff to continue to practice acceptance, inclusion, and respect amongst all people. This connection is made possible through the practice of our five school goals: to be Peaceful, Consistent, Motivated, Responsible, and Respectful.
